What is Mindfulness in Motion?
Traditional SEL programs teach students about emotions in a calm classroom. MiM puts students in real pressure situations — movement, competition, peer dynamics — and teaches them to regulate in the moment.

Applied, not theoretical
Basketball is the training environment — not a metaphor. Students practice regulation skills while actually under pressure, not after the fact.

Data every session
Pre and post self-assessments use identical instruments — giving schools before/after growth data per student, per cohort, aligned to SEL reporting.
Fundable
Built for school budgets
Aligned to ELOP, Title I, SEL grants, and prevention budgets. The program produces the outcome data grant reporting requires.
The gap MiM fills: Most SEL programs teach students what emotions are. MiM teaches students what to do with them — in real time, under real pressure, in a real body. That's the difference between knowing and being able to.
